Kenren Taishou *SQUEE* I'm so excited!!! I love Saiyuki so much, no matter from which angle I view it from. I know, to most people, Saiyuki is just about 4 angsty guys who are trying to get to India - and who, at the rate the story is going, will never reach the said place. However, to me, Saiyuki holds a much deeper meaning than the surface story. To me, Saiyuki is the essence of a simple outlook on life - "everybody lives for themselves, then dies". While it's not the sunniest disposition to take on life, there are so many tragedies in Saiyuki that leave you questioning just what choice the characters have except to behave the way they do? Who - if anyone - are you living this life for?
